Sector is seeking a Principal Electronics Engineer to join our
growing B-2 CSAG team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. You will become
part of Northrop Grumman's Lifecycle Sustainment and Modernization
Solutions (LSMS). LSMS provides sustainment support for the US Air
Force B-1 and B-2 Bombers, E-3 Sentry, Airborne Warning and Control
System, and numerous other Government platforms. Our team members
complete engineering, reverse engineering and logistics solution
efforts to solve complex obsolescence problems and ensure
warfighter supportability. You will support the Lead Engineer in
execution of various program activities, to include Test system
design and evaluation, design and development of communication,
flight controls, navigation, radar, avionics, power and/or
electrical systems architecture, components, circuits, and products
or aircraft maintenance. The position will research, develop,
design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and
products for defense or commercial systems. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and mentoring in addition to being an
individual performer
- Analyze complex electronic circuitry and precision
electro-mechanical assemblies through simulation or analysis in
order to recommend component substitutions or re-design solutions
to ensure the integrity of the platform configuration, system
safety, and performance specifications
- Identify, analyze, and solve obsolescence issues
- Access, interpret, and recommend changes to engineering
drawings.
- Establish design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for
product research, development, integration and test
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and
schedules
- Identify program problems and assist in the establishing of
solutions, such as allocation of resources, improved processes, or
changing contractual specifications
- Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with
the development and implementation of programs
- Support process improvement and establishment
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade
studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies
to translate customer requirements into hardware and software
specifications
- Generate reports and presents to Government counterparts,
defense contractors, and other cross-functional organizations Basic
Qualifications:
- Must either have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of engineering
experience or a master's degree in electrical engineering or
related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of engineering
experience.
- Ability to obtain/maintain access to work on-site in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma
- Experience with RF systems
- Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware
components.
- Experience with CAD or similar design tools
- Experience with aerospace systems
- Experience with Air Force customers and aerospace industry and
military standards
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S.
Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearancePreferred
Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance (or higher)
- Experience with test planning at the circuit card, equipment,
and system level
- Experience with nuclear hardened systems
- Experience with information security, COMSEC and TEMPEST
- Experience with DOORS and general requirements management best
practices
- Experience with embedded software development and/or
cybersecurity
- Experience conducting analysis of electrical components within
aircraft maintenance programs, determining effectiveness, and
creating written recommendations for increasing efficiency and
effectiveness
- Experience with RF systems
- Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot/repair hardware
components
- Experience with CAD or similar design tools
- Experience with aerospace systems
- Experience with Air Force customers and aerospace industry and
military standardsSalary Range: $87,800 - $131,600The above salary
range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman
considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers
such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the
candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
