Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our medical surgical team at Hillcrest Medical Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observe patients' progress and prepare reports for the Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support
  • Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function)Preferred Qualifications:
    • Two (2) years of experience in acute or long-term care
    • Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care preferred.
    • Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school
    • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
