Responsibilities: --- Operate the C.T. scanner, transport patients to and from the department, handle telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients. --- Call the physician with the report of the exam. Start an IV line to administer contrast fluid. --- Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. Operate the PACS computer system proficiently. --- Participate in performance improvement initiatives. Assist with other activities for day-to-day department operation. Qualifications: --- Vocational / Technical Education. Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) or registry eligible. --- If registry eligible upon hire, become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed. --- BLS Certification. Previous experience. Preferred Job Requirements: --- Advanced certification in CT.
