As the -Certified Medication Aide at Meadowlakes Retirement Village
in Oklahoma City, OK, you will administer oral and topical
medications to residents. These tasks are performed as ordered by a
physician, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance
with state and federal rules and regulations, and consistent with
facility policies.

Certified Medication Aide Key Responsibilities:
Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the
supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and
federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
Must demonstrate knowledge of the "five rights" of medication
administration.
Records the administration of medications and/or treatments
appropriately.
Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of
medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal
regulations and consistent with facility policy. -
Certified Medication Aide Qualifications:
State certification as a nurse aide is required
State approved medication administration certification
Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide
Highly developed observation skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
