Float Pool Patient Care Tech (PCT) Job Description

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Float Pool Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our team in Tulsa, OK, providing exceptional patient care and support in a dynamic healthcare environment.

**Overview**

You may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $1,000. As a Float Pool Patient Care Tech (PCT), you will work under moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff to perform various duties, including assisting patients with daily activities, observing patients' progress, and providing basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.

**Responsibilities**

* Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs
* Observe patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff
* Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests
* Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties
* Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines
* Assist patients with range of motion and draw blood

**Qualifications**

* High school diploma or GED
* Basic Life Support
* Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice (cross trained and cross competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function)

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Completion of approved CNA, PCT or paramedic certification or currently enrolled in nursing school
* Minimum of two years of experience in acute or long-term care
* Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy
