TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034 Pay Information $2,366 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg Job Specialty: Emergency Management Care Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Current RN License through Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) by the American Heart Association. Must-Have: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. - Some computer skills. Job Description: - Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. - Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe their physiological manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medication as prescribed. Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care competently. - Interact with family and patient to share care plans during hospital stay and discharge. - Inform patient and family of hospital procedures. - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned.
