Overview: Compensation / Benefits

• $27.84-$45.46/hr. based on previous work experience.
• Evening differential $2.50/hr.
• Night differential $3.00/hr.
• Weekend differential $3.00/hr.
• Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement.Our Med/Surg Observation Unit is a fast paced 16 bed telemetry/medical-surgical unit. - -Common problems seen in our unit include chest pain, syncope, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and diabetes. - -Our nurse patient ratio ranges from 4-6 patients depending on acuity. - Our care team includes a charge nurse and unit assistants with support from respiratory, lab, and case management departments. -We orient new nurses to our unit by providing a 6-8 week orientation program with a dedicated preceptor team, complemented by classroom courses, and a nurse residency program for new graduates. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate - - - - - - - - - Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate. - - - - - - - - - Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy - - - - - - - - - Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions. - - - - - - - - - Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed. - - - - - - - - - Professional PracticeQualificationsEducationDiploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.ExperiencePrevious experience in healthcare field preferred.Licensure/CertificationCurrent Oklahoma Registered Nurse license. -Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. -Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employmentOther Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesNew grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program. Qualifications: Education
  • Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or
  • Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred. - -Experience
    • Previous hospital experience helpful preferred. -(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience). - -Licensure / Certification
      • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
      • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.Other Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
        • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
