qualified Oncology RN in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73104 About The
Position Job Title: RN Oncology Job Specialty: Surgical Job
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days ONS/ONCC, 3x12 Hr Guaranteed Hours:
36 Hours per Week Experience: 1 Year of Experience Required
License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or
a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support and ACLS issued by the American Heart
Association Must-Have: Knowledge of professional nursing theory,
practices, techniques, and procedures; some computer skills Job
Description: - Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to
patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex. -
Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document
patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical
treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned
patients. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and
perform minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and
monitor physiological data of patients, observe physiological
manifestations, and intervene when necessary. - Administer
medication as prescribed. - Initiate, regulate, and monitor
intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver patient care
competently. - Interact with patients and families to share care
plans during hospital stay and discharge. - Inform patients and
families of hospital procedures. - Make referrals regarding patient
care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support
staff. - Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
