    • Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
    • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
    • Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies.
    • Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.
    • Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon. Qualifications
      
      Job Requirements:
      • Must be proficient in sterile techniques, instruments, supplies, and equipment.
      • Must be knowledgeable in the proper technique in handling, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments.
      • High School diploma or GED
      • Active BLS certificationPreferred Job Requirements:
        • One year of Surgical Technology experience
        • Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program
        • Certified through the NBSTSA
