TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Edmond, Oklahoma, 73034 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours - 3x12 Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: 1 year of experience required License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) Certifications: - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures - Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques - Good verbal and written communication skills - Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors - Basic computer skills Job Description: - Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients; observe their physiological manifestations and intervene when necessary - Administer prescribed medications, initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products - Deliver patient care competently - Interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while hospitalized and at discharge - Inform patient and family of procedures - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel - Delegate tasks to support staff - Perform other duties as assigned Education: - Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program - Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a Board Approved Program 26078626EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
