About the JobAs a Department Manager - Meat & Seafood Team Lead,
you will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the
Meat & Seafood team. This includes managing all aspects of daily
operations, such as profitability, expense control, buying,
merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects
as assigned.Responsibilities
- Set and Achieve High Standards: Establish and maintain the
highest standards of retail execution, driving excellence in all
aspects of Meat & Seafood operations.
- Build a Positive Work Environment: Foster a culture of
outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale,
ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and Lead Team Members: Select, train, develop, mentor,
motivate, and counsel Team Members to build a high-performance
team, minimizing turnover and maximizing productivity.
- Deliver Exceptional Customer Service: Model and deliver
outstanding customer service, following through on all customer
questions, requests, and resolving concerns as needed.
- Maximize Productivity and Efficiency: Develop and maintain
creative store layouts and product merchandising, ensuring maximum
productivity and efficiency through proper scheduling.
- Drive Sales and Profitability: Achieve sales, margin, expense,
and labor targets, maintaining proper product assortment,
merchandising, and inventory control.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with established
procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation,
and safe work practices, keeping all cases and shelves clean,
well-stocked, and properly rotated.Requirements
- Leadership Experience: 2+ years of leadership experience, with
a customer service focus, team building, employee relations, store
operations, inventory management, labor management, cost control,
and merchandising.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent
verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational
skills, ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively,
excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and
leadership skills.
- Mathematical and Technical Skills: Proficient mathematical
skills to calculate margin, monitor profitability, and manage
inventory, basic to intermediate proficiency with computer
applications and programs, including email, Microsoft Office, and
operations-related applications.
