Lead with Purpose

As a Microbiology Supervisor at Ardent Health, you will play a critical role in enforcing sectional and departmental policies and procedures to promote effective operations. Your expertise will be sought after by technical personnel for questions or problem-solving, and you will be responsible for scheduling, training, and evaluating the competency of new employees and students.

Key Responsibilities:
--- Monitor supply purchases and worked hours, adjusting personnel scheduling as needed to adapt to fluctuations in patient census.
--- Develop, review, and revise policy and procedure manuals to ensure accuracy and compliance with accrediting agencies.
--- Evaluate technical performance and competency of personnel, establishing and maintaining a relationship with each individual employee to understand their goals and support their development.
--- Identify, investigate, document, and resolve minor and major problems in the department, keeping the department supervisor informed of issues and resolutions.

Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's degree required
--- MT/MLT certification from ASCP required
--- 5-7 years of Microbiology experience
