About the Role:Hillcrest Hospital South is a dynamic healthcare provider seeking a highly skilled Phlebotomy Supervisor to lead our phlebotomy laboratory department. This role requires a strong leader who can oversee staff, operations, and training to ensure seamless specimen collection and laboratory processes.Key Responsibilities:

• Directly oversee a team of phlebotomists responsible for specimen collection duties.
• Oversee training, competencies, scheduling, and operations within the phlebotomy department.
• Perform specimen collections as needed, including venipuncture, capillary draws, urine collection instruction, and specimen culture collection instruction.Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy/medical assistant program with clinical rotations or previous phlebotomy experience.
  • Certification from a nationally recognized agency in Phlebotomy, Medical Laboratory Assistant, Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology.
  • Clinical laboratory experience as a Phlebotomist, Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician within a clinical laboratory.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician or knowledge of phlebotomy practices.
    • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
    • Five or more years as a phlebotomist or in a technical laboratory position.
    • BLS certification.
