Please enjoy this video about our culture.Job Summary:The Commissioning Engineer acts as team lead for Substation and Protection & Control (P&C) projects. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for all activities while on site, including physical inspection of the substation, protection and control (P&C) testing, and overseeing accompanying team members. While not in the field, you'll develop/refine commissioning and testing procedures, prepare for future commissioning projects as well as work with design teams on substation projects. This position requires an understanding of substation physical and P&C design.   • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • 4+ years of experience in Commissioning
    • In lieu of a degree, 4 years of additional experience is acceptable
    • Detailed knowledge of relay systems and substation equipment
    • Understanding of substation physical design and P&C
    • Understanding of protection concepts around bus, transformer, transmission line, and distribution line protection
    • Develop commissioning plans for substation projects including physical design and protection and control (P&C).
    • Develop relay settings files for SEL, GE and Basler relays from protection summary sheets and AC/DC schematics.
    • Responsible for testing of current transformers and protective relays.
    • Responsible for SCADA testing.
    • Adjust group operated switches.
    • Fully function test relay panels.
    • Collaborate with design teams.
